Free time isn't a good thing if you don't know what to do with idle hands. Sorry to get crude but the truth is a majority of people with no direction will eat/sleep/sex or eat/sleep/masturbate. If you want the integration of AI's taking over jobs to work you have to make sure you are properly motivating humanity to better themselves rather than just existing, which is what will happen. People who are on welfare and just use it to skid through life with will escalate because there are a lot of people who would choose not to work if they could and if AI allowed them to not work that's exactly what they would do, they would just exist offering nothing to society. We need to make sure AI doesn't stagnate human development because the one thing that stagnates humanity is comfort. To much of a good thing is bad in any situation.
