The thing is that probably 80% (Yes I'm pulling that number out of my ass but it would seem likely) of all people having labour as a job - hate their job and/or simply does it because they have to survive. With free time for millions if not billions of people, with universal income added, consider the amount of people that might get into science. The result from automation taking over labor jobs is that a large amount of people will probably get into science compared to today. Why is this important? Because scientific research and technology would gain **exponential growth**. Once the snowball starts rolling, we will probably end up discovering and progressing as a species just as much in 10 years than we have in our entire lifespan of our planet combined. Basic universal income would be required. But that's not a negative. Consider what humanity can accomplish without our lives being wasted on **completely pointless** bullshit like physical labor.
