Seems like progress. Unfortunately, that reef will be completely bleached (dead) before long. Two thirds of the world's reefs are now bleached, and there is now way that temperatures are going to go down fast enough (if at all) to stop it.
There is hope that coral will survive in small pockets within small biomes, and then some day recreate the reefs we are going to lose. But make no mistake, our currently surviving reef systems are doomed.
