Tesla made their warnings easy to ignore and Musk, with his comments about the car, encouraged people to think of the car as self-driving.
I'm glad Tesla has revised their software since, because if your car can't actually self-drive it shouldn't be doing so for all but 9 seconds of a 30 minute period. Not even with an idiot at the wheel who wants to let it try to do so.
