My frame of reference I'm thinking of is the IT industry, a big percentage of people aren't you're typical developer/programmer, there are many roles in IT that have diversified into specialisms and bonafide disciplines within the past 10 years. No one would've foreseen these jobs just as it's difficult now to forsee where new jobs may emerge. I do share the concern however I'm actually more troubled by what the impact blockchain technology will have, perhaps well before the rise of the robots, and not just in its use in virtual currency but in its potential to codify trust into our economic and financial interactions. Entire markets and industries exist as facilitators of exchanging value, many are about to be disrupted by a revolution in electronic automation.
