At first is totally based on nationality, (In the case of Canada if I was an EU citizen I would only need my passport to enter but as a Honduran I need my passport and a valid visa, if I were Haitian I would need both documents plus a [biometrics data application](http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp) which is sent to the Canadian police)
