I think a lot of this attitude comes from most rich people becoming rich due to being in a privileged position in society. Most rich people didn't do anything fraudulent to get their money, they just participated in an unfair system. Almost everyone in their position would do the same. I agree that the anger should usually not be directed at the rich person, but at the system that promotes such inequality.
