Depends where you live. Here in Australia we seem to be making strides in areas like equal rights for everyone regardless of sexual orientation. There are a number of openly gay members of parliament and 2/3 of the population is in favour of legalising gay marriage. It's just a matter of time before politicians catch up and make it law.
