I can't believe I watched this entire video myself. Someday AI is going to watch videos for me, because I'll be too lazy to turn YouTube on myself.
Google's response to the sentient AI claim, "that's impossible... we have a policy against it", feels like something out of a satire
Russia is launching a facial recognition technology called 'Orwell ' . They aren't even trying to be subtle now
As soon as an AI Bot get sent anything to do with suicide or mental health issues it should stop and send information on ways to find help
The fact that the first guy still has a criminal record over an AI misidentification leading to a false arrest is outrageous. He should 100% sue them for this.
This shows that human effort will always be funnier and better than any ai, no matter what
they're disgusting honestly. I've seen multiple discord servers of stans making nsfw deepfakes of idols, even underaged ones. when you say something to them, they always fail to understand the problem too.
I went up there over Christmas, and it was really as a "better see them before they go" but honestly I feel like I was too late anyway
Everybody gangsta until the guy in the middle takes off his fedora and reveals that he’s a robot too
The thing that particularly bugs me about this: older folks *just cannot distinguish* AI generated images from real images. My grandmother shares all kinds of AI garbage on Facebook, and *just can not comprehend* that it is fake.
I've tried showing her how easy it is to make fake shit, literally having her ask ChatGPT on my phone to create an image of whatever she was imagining. She thought it…
I thought this video was dramatic until it literally lined up with what I just read in 12 Last Steps. That book showed how every rushed adoption of AI ends up breaking more than it fixes, jobs vanish, systems glitch, people get displaced, and the “efficiency” excuse just becomes the cover story. Watching this felt like déjà vu because the book explained exactly why it plays out this way.
I think it’s time we start supporting home based and small family businesses. Stop buying products/services from large corporations.
Being an AI artist is like ordering off a menu and calling yourself a chef
This has to be single handedly best AI talk on startalk. What an amazing guest and way that the hosts listen and don't interrupt every 10 seconds like with previous talks. It's almost like debate level of discourse in a podcast format. Kudos to the presentation team for including good reference material and for all the great questions.
Now here's another ethical dilemma: When we get to the point that most cars are self-driving and are 10 times less likely to have an accident, should humans even be allowed to drive on public roads at all?
I'm an engineer. The only use for AI that I have found is asking technical questions that I know very little about. I don't trust the answers but it's useful as an introduction to the topic, providing key words and phrases, and references for further reading.
First it’s AI projects needing $7 trillion investment, now it’s taking 1% of the world’s electricity…
This Altman guy loves to throw around huge numbers. I’m generally distrustful of people like that - I find they’re usually trying to dazzle you with incomprehensible scale in an attempt to deceive you or mask their own ignorance/incompetence.
Did anyone else heard about this doctor from Switzerland. He went missing few days ago and you can't find him anywhere on Google anymore. It was like he disappeared. He was saying what will happen in the future with AI and he said something that he shouldn't I guess. He had this book called 12 Codes of Collapse but I can't find it anywhere. I read it and it opened my eyes about everything that wi…
Soon the only job available to humans will be to make youtube videos about AI replacing humans in normal jobs.
So, a pump and dump with an extra step. I'm sure the current administration's FTC will investigate this as thoroughly and professionally as they are capable...
