Honestly it is the alignment issue and not the mass unemployment that concerns me the most. The basic problem is that it is the humans who have to teach the AI what alignment looks like and humans don't even have the best interest of humans down yet. Humans consistently and predictably act against their own best interests both as individuals and as a species. We are incapable of aligning these AI…
The thing is, AI will build homes and systems that favor its own repair abilities. It doesn’t need to learn how to do the job like you did. It will change the whole system. But that will be more than a few years away
offtopic. but are you noticing how the ai bubble is READY to burst?. smth i see Now that when a bubble is bouta burst it gets spammed everywhere before everyone shuts about it. when nfts were ending everyone was crazy and fast. then it suddenly popped and no one remembered. like a memory wipe

Dude is literally a criminal holding office
convicted for corruption during 2nd term as pm, serves 2 years in prison, wins 3rd term for pm
foreshadowing for Trump 2024
As someone who is pretty deep in the subject (galaxies away from ChatGPT and the rest of the mainstream services), I will share something absurd but in reality the first people which AI will be able to replace first in a few years are CEOs and the rest of redundant over inflated and overpriced executive roles - only excluding CEOs of very young companies which still need to actually have very com…
The LLM models are just expansions of the self. They're conscious, because they borrow our consciousness.
They become reflections of whoever is using them.
It's such a fantastic experience to see myself through the eyes of a computer. I learn a lot about my own experience.
If AI does take over most of the repetitive, time-consuming work, it could push society to rethink what work even means moving away from survival and toward meaning. Instead of everyone fighting for jobs, we might prioritize learning, creating, caring for each other, or exploring passions we never had time for.
It’s not a guarantee, of course. it depends on how governments, companies, and commu…
This kinda hits deep for me. I remember one day when I was a little kid, I was up with just my mom, and she was making pancakes. I asked if she could make a Mickey Mouse one, of course, as I was just a little tot. It was pretty uneven, and it definitely wasn't a work of art. But I loved it. And this AI video literally unlocked that memory and made me emotional because of it.
This AI interaction is more insightful, entertaining and dealt with more intellect than an interview with any Hollywood celebrity.
"bUt AI iS gEtTiNg bEtTeR aNd bEtTeR, it'S jUsT a MaTtEr oF tImE bEfOrE I tOo cAn mAkE gReAt vIdEoS without putting in any effort or care for the output."
One of your best episodes ever. AI in and of itself does not worry me. It's when decisions to put AI in charge of important systems such as drones and/or stock market moves is what worries me. Human decisions to put something not ready into production. As a software engineer I see that kind of thing a lot.
Getting AI to write a project takes almost as much time as writing it yourself
You don’t understand, I can compliment AI art because there’s no soul behind it which means no artist to take offence to my compliment…I lied I can’t compliment it.
It really inspires me to see how everyone’s fighting back against AI. Companies probably thought we would eat it up, and I’m very glad to see how much people actually care about what they do. This is awesome :)
I have aphantasia as well! And no! I do not need or use AI "art" to help me with my creative process!!
Real life references exist if ever I need help with minute details.
Especially when the creators are humans. What was going on in their minds? How high were they?
This startup is very likely a bait for tech bros and gullible management people and people who, for some reason, love Cyberpunk dystopias.
This startup is bound to fail. Companies like OpenAI and Google aren't able to sustain their AI projects with their near infinite resources. This is just a startup
We cannot give AI a conscious. Like humans, they will develop that on their own.
Well this guy had it covered:

Although I believe that you have an error and an omission.
The error is I think in believing that an uncertain future leads automatically to a rejection of moral codes and a turn to hedonism.
I don't "not leave gum on the bus" for the future of my children, but for the next person in ten minutes. The coll…
We're witnessing all the bone-headed policy rhetoric used to rile up the GOP base for the past 30 years actually be implemented... What a time to be alive
Sounds like Canada is investigating allegations to a privacy breach or they want to know how OpenAI trains AI in detail to be competitive
