Therapists are pretty safe for now. Yes, for some people, talking to an AI might be helpful, but for true talk-therapy, you're not going to get human-level insight any time soon. I also think teachers will be safe for a long time, though their roles may change.

I feel that AI art itself is not the issue, it’s that improper use of it that causes more issues on top of the given issue that is legal ownership.

I’m 35, I really feel it for the next generation. At this age I witnessed the transition between no smartphone to smartphones everywhere, no social media to social media everywhere. Now I’m witnessing houses being somewhat affordable to unaffordable and decent job market to tough harsh job market. I know this might sound tone deaf but I can only say from my experience and what I’m seeing in my …

it's crazy that a CEO will tell us to our face that he is replacing human jobs with AI and we let him continue living

I'm really appreciative of all the YouTubers putting out videos about AI psychosis and harms to mental/physical health-- your video, Caelan Conrad's videos, Eddy Burbank's video, etc. Because to be quite honest, I'm concerned with how little I've seen talking about this from large media outlets. I've been looking, and I feel like it's been an underrepresented topic for how much awareness there SH…

If Tesla was serious about improving self-driving safety, they’d implement LiDar, instead of insisting that cameras alone are sufficient detection. They have been proven wrong so many times that not only is it negligence at this point, but it proves their statement in seeking an appeal to be knowingly false.

Companies never understood one thing about AI: IT IS A TOOL It was made to speed up workforce, not replace it. Just like tractors were made to speed up harvest, not replace farmers. It can help with starting activities (fe. Programing) or offer suggestions much quicker than sitting for 40 minutes. If you use AI as a tool, it can greatly help.

we should call them "AI generated images" and "prompt engineers". Nothing about it is art.

@TheShowdown16 I don't think the comparison with weaving is accurate. Firstly, power looms don't compete with artist weavers, whereas AI generators DO compete with artists. Secondly, the power loom has huge societal value because it provides us with something we otherwise could not have gotten (because weaving by hand is tremendously tedious). AI art generators on the other hand have a negative s…

>[The Italian data-protection authority] said there was no legal basis to justify "the mass collection and storage of personal data for the purpose of 'training' the algorithms underlying the operation of the platform".

So many AI tools out there now, it's overwhelming. AICarma could help brands figure out who's talking about them!

As a rider I've always been worried about bad drivers, but in the last few years I've been genuinely scared of the ones that think they're in a "self driving" car.

Facial recognition technology is currently far less accurate in identifying African Americans. Police need to be aware of this so they aren’t bothering innocent people.

*Question is how can beginner human writers become good if they'll be priced out of the entry market.* To my mind, that is the big question for any number of areas where AI is touted to take over.

My god. An ai chatbot for the US military. Now our commanders can feed top secret national defense information directly to Google. And in return, our military can have the internet parroted to them.  What is this world coming to?!
