Good to hear. Hopefully it will be a success, and other countries will follow their lead
My CFO is freezing entry-level positions. He's 60, will retire in a few years, doesn't care, can say he's saving 20% on labor, and the AI can't do the work, but it can make a few people 3-4x more effective. Not him, he can barely send an email or schedule a meeting. The people at the top are tech illiterate (focusing solely on money), the folks in the middle are seeing efficiency gains (but not w…
I may be terrible at drawing, but at least my sad attempts at art are far more human than any AI shartist
I like how every piece of software is becoming more unusable every day and CEO's are ecstatically proclaiming "we're building everything with AI". I wonder if those two things are related...
this reads like they used chatgpt to write it.
>When I schedule my meeting with my principal I’m going to show him: *The google doc history *Search history from the date the assignment was given to the time it was due *My assignment ran through GPTzero (the program the teacher uses) and also the results of my essay and the ChatGPT essay run through a plagiarism checker (it has a 1% similarity…
>This was apparently because the AI combed through predominantly male résumés submitted to Amazon over a 10-year period to accrue data about whom to hire.
>Consequently, the AI concluded that men were preferable. It reportedly downgraded résumés containing the words "women's" and filtered out candidates who had attended two women-only colleges.
So, not really the AI's fault. Just the inpu…
I'm gonna admit something. For a month or two I got into AI art, but it honestly never got the results I wanted it to get, and, after doing a bit of research, I realized how damaging it truely is. I am trying to learn how to actually draw digitally ( I'm not good at it or naturally talented but I can see small improvements over time) and this channel has really helped me out, as I am more encli…
Another thing I find ironic about the disability argument is that art is actually one of the job options available to many disabled people. You can do it from home, and it doesn’t require significant physical labor- which is an ideal environment for many people with disabilities or health issues. Ai is actively taking those job spaces away.
Getting angry that someone made something detrimental to a thief is insane, bc if they don’t want their ai messed up? Don’t steal.
I am Zane’s sister. This news story, albeit horrible and heart-wrenching, is not the whole truth. Yes, AI was one factor that played a part in my brother Zane’s suicide. From the transcripts, it seems to be the trigger or the ultimate deciding factor in his death. The responses that my brother received from ChatGPT are unbelievably horrifying and sickening. I am not trying to detract from that at…
"The only connection you have to an AI, is the connection to your own stupidity." That is perhaps the quote of the century.
The biggest bang for the buck… err how to “maximize shareholder value” would be to replace the entire executive board at any major company with AI.
Even before AI and able robots, it's simple: If I don't have money to spend beyond reality bills (mortgage, rent, power, water, car insurance, food, etc,.) I CAN'T BUY WHATEVER IT IS YOU'RE SELLING! Over 2,300 years ago, Alexander the Great understood that wealth should not be hoarded, but circulated. And robots don't buy cars or hamburgers.

The dead internet theory is already a thing.
In fact, you should see how bad search engines are. There was a gal who made a video on Google, and found out not only does google NOT have the estimated (42,500,000) results or w/e it displays, It only has results from the roughly the last 20 days, and 90% of those are advertised slots and algorithm based results. The scroll stops at around page 43 …
How effective is the humor appeal on the general pop? I am a sucker for an ad that makes me laugh and I do typically remember the product/ brand.
Only diving down the AI rabbit hole now. The interesting thing is it learns from humans, so therefore our behaviors are being mirrored back to us. This is as fascinating as it is disturbing.
it's funny because the actual idea of destroying humans came from a human, the robot just agreed with it. So they will learn from humans after all. Well done!
I spent months down rabbit holes trying to figure out what they're not telling us about AI, then Selwyn Raithe's book laid out everything the tech companies don't want public. The chapter on what's already happening behind closed doors made everything click. Especially OpenAI and factories in China
Amazing how they seem to care about their people. This move will help them bounce back quicker.
